The Lake

		Willow Pool is an English owned lake offering you the very best in French carp fishing. Up to 2007 it has been a strictly private lake and only fished by a select few but now we offer you the chance to come and sample some truly fantastic fishing and on top of that in some of the most beautiful French countryside. - Lake totaling well over 5 acres in size. - Tree lined and tranquil setting. - Night fishing is permitted and no license required. - Lakes are in private grounds and enclosed. - Fishing from any of the 7 constructed swims or from the bank.

Before July 2007 Willow Pool actually consisted of two lakes side by side separated by a thin slip of land. Following an extensive excavation project it is now one larger lake of around 5.5 acres in size which really opens the lake up to the angler giving a much wider area to fish. The lake is fed by clear underground springs that provide an excellent water quality for the fish, this water quality is proven by the numbers of swan mussels found on the lake bed (be aware if using back leads!). Formally dug for sand extraction around 30 years ago the lake boasts numerous features to fish to including overhanging willows, shallow gravel bars, lily pads, deep clear margins, silt pockets etc. The lake is roughly square in shape and this provides a good layout for anglers, all of the 5.5 acres is fishable water. 5 single swims a double on the end of the spit and a triple on the opposite bank along with these it is possible to fish from anywhere along the spit so groups can fish fairly close if preferred. Commons to 37lb+ Mirrors to 42lb+ Grass Carp to an estimated 30lb+ Catfish to 40lb+
